MINUTES

 

REGULAR MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:00 P.M.  Mayor Blakley opened the meeting. 

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Led by the Treasure Mayor Blakley

 

ROLL CALL:   Mayor Blakley, Trustees:  Jeremiah Gray, Marshelle Gray, Michael Taylor Rober Essex, LeRoy Trujillo and Darcie Rocque. All present 

 

ADOPTION OF AGENDA

 

NEW BUSINESS

            

  1. Treasurer Report - Treasurer Jim Evans presented the Treasurer report to the Council.  Darcie Rocque moved to approve the treasurer report; seconded by Robert Essex.  Motion passed unanimously with all voting yes. 
  2. Loaf n Jug Liquor License – Robert Essex moved to approve the renewal liquor license for Loaf n Jug; seconded by Marshelle Gray. Motioned passed unanimously with all voting yes. 
  3. MOU – Town of Rangely for dispatch – Town Manager Larry Elarton is presenting to the board a MOU with Rangely to use them as the primary dispatch.  With the MOU in place, it allows for both counties to share backup for each other. Robert Essex moved to approve the MOU with Rangely for Police commutation for dispatching; seconded by Michael Taylor, vote unanimous with all voting yes. 
  4. Discussion buying a bobcat with the attachments (auger, snow blower, brush cat, angle boom and a trencher) paid from the severance tax account for $56,332.09.  Michael Taylor moved to approve the purchase of $56,332.09; seconded by Marshelle Gray, motion passed. 
  5. PT Office help. Advertise in paper and online.
  6. Budget adoption Budget adoption at the next meeting January 9, 2024. 

 

 

MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS AND/OR ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

   A.     Mayor report and actions

  1. Christmas bonuses for employees $350.00 for full time employees, $175.00 for Part-time and $50.00 to Dusty Roth. 
  2. Paul Jachim with the Dinosaur Foodbank approached the Council for a donation to help buy Christmas presents for those in need. Montion was made by Leroy Trujillo to donation $400.00 to Dinosaur Food Bank; seconded by Michael Taylor, vote unanimous.   
  3. Lights for Christmas.  Each Council member will drive around town and vote on the Christmas displays.  The one with most votes will win first place $100.00, second place winner $75.00 and third place will receive $50.00.  Leroy Trujillo made a motion to approve Christmas Lights contest; seconded by Michael Taylor vote unanimous. 
  4. Corey Jackson approached the Council in regards to the music festival that the town is presenting to the community on May 17 & 18. He is very excited for the event and is working on getting some artist to attend the event. 

 

B.  Council reports and actions 

1.  Council mentioned that the town house is mess.

2.  Trustee Robert Essex discussed water testing. 

 

C.  Town Manager Reports

 

 

 

 

ADJOURN Trustee Robert Essex moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m.; seconded by Michael Taylor, motion passed.
