MINUTES

Mayor Blakley brought the First Regular Meeting of the Dinosaur Town Council to order at 6:00 p.m.  Those presents were Mayor Richard A. Blakley, Trustees Darcie Rocque, Jerimiah Gray, Marchelle Gray, Michael Taylor, Robert Essex, and LeRoy Trujillo.

Trustee Essex made a motion, seconded by Trustee Taylor, to approve the accounts payable as presented. Ayes: 7. Nays: 0. Motion carried.

Trustee Taylor made a motion, seconded by Trustee M. Gray, to approve the minutes from April 11 and 25 with the changes discussed. Ayes: 7. Nays: 0. Moton carried.

Mayor Blakley said that they have a renewal from Dino Dispensary. Trustee M. Gray asked if there has been any issue.  There have not been any issues. Trustee Essex made a motion, seconded by Trustee Taylor, to approve the renewal for Dino Dispensary. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Abstain: 2. (D. Rocque and R. Blakley). Motion carried.

Mayor Blakley mentioned that the tank levels have been coming down. He said that he will be shutting the big tank off and we will have only 200,000 gallon back up while they do the big tank. He said that he would like to put out notices for people to watch usage on the outside watering. Until the big tank gets done. He said that it will take about three weeks to get that tank done.

Mayor Blakley said that the trees will be in next week and they will be needing volunteers to plant them.

Town clean-up will be May 19th.  He said that if the dumpsters got filled up, they would do their best to get over here and dump them.  Mr. Jim Evans said that last year we went through five dumpsters.

Mayor Blakey talked to the County about doing crack seal on the streets. He said that they probably would not be able to do it because it is late in the year now, and they have a lot going on since winter. He said that they could probably do it next year.

Mr. Larry Elarton mentioned that we have the tank project going on. He mentioned that once the sand blasting is done, they will have the welder come in and then they will re-prep for the sealing.

He said that they are working on getting the signs up and they will bring in a lift to get them up safely. He said that there are a few things that need to be fixed on the building while we have the lift.

Mr. Elarton said that we are going to put ADA doors in so that we will be in compliance. And will put auto closures on the doors at the park.

Mr. Elarton mentioned that the Welcome Center, Loaf ‘N Jug and Conoco’s sewers are down. The Welcome Center is going to have Anson Plumbing come down to fix their sewer lines. He said that the town may have to repair part of our lines.

He said that they are subdividing and rezoning the property. He said that we have got some used desks from the County. He said that we will have to pay for the moving of them.

Trustee Taylor mentioned that we need to do some road maintenance. Mr. Elarton said that they are looking at doing a couple of projects. Trustee Taylor said that we might need to talk to Moon Lake about the expansion.  Trustee Essex said that they had to change for the grow.

There were complaints about the flag flying on the 3rd and Brachiosaurus.  Marshal Elarton said that he would talk to the property owner.

Trustee Essex made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:40 p.m. all were in favor.
